I finished my first-ever sketchbook! When I started watercolour painting back in July, it was so intimidating to look at the stretch of blank space binded in rings. I didn’t want to mar it with ugly paintings. But now I see how much I have grown over the months, and I’m proud of myself for not giving up.

Here is a little tour of my painting book, the good, the bad and the ugly. Theres even a new painting I had never posted here.

I have made videos like this before, but I had never uploaded something to YouTube. But it’s perfect and so easy.

I’m already using video when working with kids! One of my athletes has been away for the past month and missed some important choreography (I’m an artistic swimming coach). Last night, I worked with her teammates to make a video for her to watch and learn the routine from afar so she can be all caught up when she returns. This was like magic. One, I have a great video to help this athlete learn the routine and two, the girls that were helping me make the video were so invested. I don’t think I have ever seen them swim the routine with such perfect counts before.

Now I’m plotting ways to make them do this again because WOW.
